The company has a total staff of 10 people who are working closely together as a team and are used to work for national- and international clients all over the world. As we work in close cooperation with the Intamin group, our main focus is on design of amusement rides for parks and special events.

Design

 

The company has a total staff of 10 people who are working closely together as a team and are used to work for national and international clients all over the world. The mechanical design is performed with aid of 2D- and 3D-tools like AutoCad, Solid Edge, SolidWorks, Pro-Engineer and Inventor.

The structural analysis and fatigue analysis is done with programs like Siemens NX and CosmosWorks for complicated linear and non-linear Finite Element Analysis. Manual (hand) calculation can be done, in most cases with the aid of the program Mathcad.

Kinematic analysis like multi-body analysis of three-dimensional structures is performed with the programs ADAMS and Siemens NX Motion. Data can be efficiently transferred by use of different exchange formats.

Our staff is highly educated and experienced in finding the best possible solution for our customers.

A very important aspect in all our products is the quality and safety aspect, because our origin lies in designing structures for the amusement ride industry. Through the years also a lot of experience is obtained to work with certifying companies, like TÜV, DNV and CSEI.

 

 

COMMUNICATION

 

By working with a three-dimensional system it is easier for us to explain to our clients what they will receive in practice. The 3-D models give everybody a clear understanding of what is being produced and does not limit this information to technical people only. This improves the involvement of our client in the design stage and results in a more satisfied client when the product is finished.

The availability of such a model improves communication in respect to:

– How to produce parts (PRODUCTION)

– How to assemble parts (ASSEMBLY)

– How will it look (AESTHETICS)

– How will it function. (FUNCTION)

– How can it be maintained (MAINTAINABILITY)

At the design stage an extensive database of parts is created. This database can be used to create a user manual and a specialist assembly manual. These manuals can be enhanced with 3-D exploded views to achieve better readability. In respect to the performed analysis we can issue a complete set of calculations for third party review.

As we work in close cooperation with the Intamin group, our main focus is on design of amusement rides for parks and special events.

 

What we are looking for:

We are looking for a Stress Engineer to join our Engineering Department.

 

Your position:

You will be involved in the design phase of new engineering projects, participating from basic design to detailed design. During the design process, you will make elementary manual calculations as well as detailed structural-, mechanical- and dynamical analyses by using CAD/FEA tools. You will also make reports of your calculations, which subsequently will be approved by certifying authorities.

 

Job requirements:

  • Master degree in Mechanical Engineering
  • Knowledge of 3D CAD/FEA tools
  • Knowledge of NX, Mathcad and/or ADAMS is an advantage
  • Knowledge of design verification according Eurocode 3 and FKM guideline is an advantage
  • Good understanding of Dutch and English in both spoken and written form
  • Understanding of German is an advantage, as we operate in an international work environment
  • Pro-active, pragmatic and flexible attitude
  • A work permit that allows you to work in the Netherlands
